Durability at its Finest02/08/2017 ByJosť First, a bit of background: I have knocked out of true and/or popped the spoke on both stock wheel sets and after market "lightweight" wheel sets. Frustrating. After popping a spoke on a mountain climb and a commute to work, I decided it was high time to get something more durable. These wheels offer just that at a merit of price and quality you just can't find anywhere else. Similarly priced, you're looking at a few extra 150-300 grams and no where near the level of quality and detail you get with Neugent. With respect to quality, it's either your local wheel builder or John.
Riding these wheels immediately elicits a level of confidence that that is hard to come by with respect to any other major upgrade.
Concisely: for $300 you can get a pair of wheels that may weigh as much as a stock pair, but the level of quality you're getting will not only add to the durability of your bike but save you time and money (I have spent hundreds over 2yrs of cycling bc of shit wheels).
