Wheels are warrantied for one year from the date of purchase. If you bought a wheel protection plan they are covered longer (based on the plan you purchased).
After (or before) you place an order for a warranty send us an e-mail and will we let you know what to do and confirm that we believe it's covered under warranty.
The warranty does not cover normal use and wear and tear (brake pads, lube, notches on alloy cassette bodies, etc.)
If you have a cracked rim, most likely we don't need to see it and it costs you a lot to send a complete wheel versus a hub (and maybe spokes). Wheels are extremely strong and very seldom get damaged in shipping so don't send a wheel back with the boxes stuffed with packing or peanuts. If you have axle end protectors use them but if you don't, don't worry. Before you send a wheel back, remove the tires, tubes, rim strips, cassette, spoke magnets, quick release, brake rotor (if applicable) - we just need the hub or the wheel.
If you are shipping back a complete wheel try to get a wheel box from a bike shop (they normally have them they will give you no charge). A 700C wheel goes in a box that is 24X24X6. You can get away with a box that is not that wide but you need the 24X24 dimensions. Mail is a good way to send wheels but don't use a box that is oversize because oversize boxes can double your shipping costs.
